July 13th 2025 saw us host the first-ever Muckle M14 Mountain TT. Kicking off from Edmundbyers in the North Pennines the course is basically a hill climb with a fast flat warm up and a fast descent to the finsh.
Huge thanks to our sponsors Start Fitness, Scott Bikes, and Wahoo, and to all the Muckle marshals and volunteers who helped make it a slick and well-run event.

At the Sharp End
Hugo Storey (Muckle CC) took the win in 35:37, laying down the fastest time of the day and setting the bar high on the new course. Just behind, Lee Ager made it a Muckle 1–2 with 36:18, holding off Mark Jagger (Team Lifting Gear Products) who was only two seconds back in 36:20.
The top five was stacked with Muckles, including Ryan Parkinson (36:35) and Adrian Armstrong (36:41), both riding strong. Colin Atkinson was comfortably first vet and seventh overall.

Women’s Podium
Rebekah Hendrickse (EMC Cycling) topped the women’s standings with a ride of 40:36, ahead of Rachel Galler (FTP Race Team, 41:07) and Stacey Smith (North Shields Poly, 42:13). Great riding across the board on a tough course.

Muckle Depth
Plenty of strong rides across the club:
Mateusz Mazik – 37:01
Colin Atkinson – 37:08 (top vet)
Marcin Benisz – 38:13
Michael Noble – 39:32
Harry Preston – 41:36
Max Breese – 42:50
A brilliant debut for this new event! Another shoutout and thanks to our sponsors Start Fitness, Scott Bikes, and Wahoo. And massive thanks again to everyone who raced, cheered, or helped out. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
