ABOUT MCC
Muckle Cycle Club is a North East based cycling club for experienced riders who are passionate about improving, riding well together, and contributing to the wider cycling community.

We bring together committed cyclists across road, gravel, cyclocross, mountain bike and time trialling, united by a shared desire to progress - whether that’s through weekend group rides, targeted events, or competitive racing. Muckle is a club with momentum, purpose, and high standards, but we also value the social side of cycling and you don't have to be a racer to be a Muckle!

WHO ARE MUCKLE?
Muckle is run by active riders with experience of cycling at both club and national level. We don’t just participate - we organise, volunteer, and help shape the sport locally and nationally.

The club has a strong track record of delivering high-quality events, from regional Road Races through to championship-level competition. In 2024, Muckle was proud to host the British Cycling National Hill Climb Championships on Dipton Mill Road, Hexham.

Our members value strong group riding and a supportive but driven environment. Rides are well organised and progressive, and we expect members to be confident riding in a group and wanting to contribute in some way to the club over the year through volunteering at one of our events.
MUCKLE AIMS:
To provide a positive, progressive environment for experienced riders to develop and challenge themselves

To promote high standards of group riding, safety, and respect on the road and trails
To support members who wish to race, compete, or take on ambitious personal goals

To contribute to the wider cycling community through event organisation, volunteering, and leadership

To maintain a strong club culture built on commitment, inclusivity, and shared ambition

Muckle Cycle Club is for riders who are already invested in their cycling and are looking for a club that will help them take the next step.
