Muckle Cycle Club is hosting two Reliability Rides, open to riders from all clubs and independent riders alike. These are non-competitive road rides designed to offer a well-organised, friendly winter training opportunity on mostly quiet country roads — ideal if you’re looking to build fitness, ride with others, and enjoy some steady early-season miles.

The route is 85.5 km / 53 miles with approximately 1,037 m / 3,402 ft of climbing, using the same route for both dates. It takes in a mix of rolling roads and steady climbs, suitable for a wide range of riders. While some experience riding in a group is helpful, the emphasis is on safe, considerate riding rather than racing. Riders should be prepared for winter conditions, and mudguards are strongly encouraged to keep things comfortable for everyone.

Four pace groups will be offered to cater for a broad range of abilities — from a strong, performance-focused group through to a fully social, no-pressure option. Speeds are a guide and may vary depending on terrain, weather, and group dynamics. Riders are free to choose their preferred group on the day and can move groups if needed.

The ride will start and finish at Pedalling Squares Café.
Sign-on opens from 8:00am, with the café opening early for coffees and snacks. Riders are encouraged to join us back at the café afterwards for a warm drink and a chat. On-the-day sign-on is available.
